So that Monday-Friday crawling rush hour traffic is full of people who do not work and are on the expressways joyriding for the fun of inching along? Also--please post a list of those companies that give everyone Fridays off. I must be a sap because every company or firm I've worked for in Florida has the nerve to make us work on Fridays, and I want to find one of the many companies that give everyone that day off. Thanks.

Very true. The beaches in Florida in summer are wonderful. No crowds, beautiful warm water. I grew up in the northeast where you could not go into the ocean without your feet becoming numb until August. Just floating around the pool in summer is great also, in addition to the fact that you can use the pool all year round here. I never really get why people up north go to the expense and bother of having a pool you can only use a few months per year. Other benefits of summer in Florida--no tourists. Restaurants, movies and malls are much easier to go to off season.

I read a few of your posts and see that you relocated from NC to FL. I am currently considering relocating from NJ to either location. I did live on FL east coast for a couple years.

I would appreciate if you can share your experience on choosing to relocating to FL. Where you from NC originally? What are some pros/cons of NC & FL?
