My family is planning on making the move to Florida in 2015....we really want to live on the Gulf side....we have visited Florida many times, esp. In this past year. We are both in the human services field and I will be completing my degrees before we move! Of coarse we are going to line up jobs before we move we were just wondering where would be an ideal area for a family with three kiddos ages now 11, 9, & 7! any positive feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

The best schools Gulf-side outside of the Panhandle are in Northern Pinellas County. Check out the Palm Harbor University HS, East Lake HS and Countryside HS districts in the Palm Harbor/NE Clearwater/East Lake/Oldsmar/SE Tarpon Springs area which is quite safe, family-friendly, offers tons of recreational opportunity and is less than 30 minutes from some of the best beaches in the country (Clearwater Beach, Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Beach). The area is easily accessible to Tampa, St Petersburg and Clearwater which is the second largest job market in the state.

Hey we agree on something.

Good advice.

You said Clearwater. One of my favs.

Honeymoon--- beautiful and lots of nice shells.

Read the SUCCESS STORIES of those who moved to Florida. Lots of members posted great information in that thread.
