Would you favor mandates on banning kids from riding in automobiles to prevent further child related automobile deaths?

Per FL Health Data (https://floridahealthcovid19.gov/) 10 deaths for under 16 out of 312,934 known cases.

That is a case fatality rate of .003196%.

In comparison, the automobile fatality rate is .012048%. Note that this is all ages. Data for under age 16 is unavailable. No doubt people age 16-25 (riskiest driving age group) skew data. The automobile fatality rate for those under age 16 is likely significantly less than .012048%. But we will use .012048% because better data isn't available.

This means that riding in a car is approximately 3.77 times more deadly to kids under age 16 than COVID-19.

So, how will you task Biden and Harris with making automobiles more safe than COVID-19 for kids under age 16?

How many tens of thousands of Florida children will develop long COVID sequelae as a result of Delta variant infections?

We don't know yet what toll the Delta variant will have on the health of Florida children, nor how much infections and hospitalizations will cost parents, insurers, Medicaid, hospitals, etc.

What we do know is that DeSantis has NOT followed the science. He has not encouraged mask wearing. And his policies have encouraged anti-vaxxers.

Mask mandates mean you can still partake in the activity with a mask. Banning kids from riding in cars means they can't ride in cars. I'm sure it's going above your head how these two things aren't comparable.

You didn't answer my question...I guess you just want kids to die in violent, fiery car accidents.

As for how many tens of thousands of FL children long hauling/misc from COVID? Not many. It will be a minuscule %.

What toll will Delta take? I suppose the pathetic CDC could examine data and science from countries where Delta has risen (and fallen) already. India and the UK for example.

Yes, DeSantis is following science. Not the liberal-progressive political science of "when the only tool you have is a hammer, everything is a nail."

What tune will you sing when cases/hospitalizations/deaths go off the chart this fall/winter in the northern band of blue states?

It starts in October/November.

Are you actively criticizing the blue governors who still have a higher deaths per 100,000 citizens vs Florida/DeSantis?

For example: Massachusetts, New Jersey, Nevada, Michigan, Illinois, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Louisiana, New Mexico, Pennsylvania.

Masks don't prevent anything, though...illness-wise that is.

I heard a report that Delta variant case fatality rate is ~1/7th what the USA was hit with first.

Default Wednesday 8/18/2021 Update

Numbers from Worldometers.info. Hospital numbers from Florida Hospital Association.

Date..........Total Cases.....Total Deaths....New Cases...New Deaths...Today's Tests
Tues 8/17... 3,002,763........41,130
Wed 8/18... 3,024,586........41,929..........23,533........799 *..............1,325

Wed 8/18 Hospitalizations 16,721 +200

* I guess the reason why the number of deaths in the past few days was very low is because they were not reported until 8/18/21.

None of the vaccines were touted as 100% long term immunity.

From my contact at Baptist Main Hospital on SW 88th Street, Miami

Baptist Hospital currently has 80 vents running (usually run 20-30) and has 90 min left of oxygen. They are currently transitioning over to "liquid" oxygen which is what is used in nursing homes.
