Greetings JE2021!

Although I no longer live in Florida, I am a native Floridian and would like to welcome you to the USA and the Sunshine State.

I believe that someone with your mindset and attitude can only be a positive asset to the American melting pot! Those of us who value individual liberty need all the help we can get in standing up to the new religion that is being imposed on us.

If I were you, I'd stick to the coastal counties, as some of the inland counties may be too much of a culture shock. The Jacksonville/St. Augustine area is very nice; but beware as some of those Jacksonville schools will be pretty rough.

You may want to look into Santa Rosa County. It's one of the best school districts in the panhandle and has access to great beaches, Pensacola for amenities, and also has a bit of a country feel without being too insular.

Fly the damn US flag and the State Flag of Florida. In my subdivision, the HOA forced the removal of a Canadian flag on one house, and a State of California flag on another. Rightly so, they were expressly limited to the American flag as described in the Declaration documents. I served this nation proudly and defended its colors. Fly your colors in your own house - no problem.
lol, that's dumb. What about my freedom to fly the flag I want? My freedom as an American is to fly the flag I want and if I want to fly a Canadian flag or any other flag (the union Jack), I will.

In Florida alone the unaffiliated "nones" is about 22% and INCREASING. Florida is no longer a significant part of the Bible Belt.

If the OP is a devout Christian from a foreign country and is looking to Florida as a good match, he's looking at the wrong state in Florida now and in the developing future. Florida has already begun not mirroring the deep South viz religion and social mores. Jews constitute now >3% and growing by the month.
Florida is and remains deeply commited to faith... regardless of what religion is being practiced.

This great nation's borders are being invaded on a daily basis from over 130 foreign countries....and yes that includes Canadians as well. This is not sustainable, it's not affordable, it's not really peachykeen and desirable.

Most United States of America citizens know that but are too intimidated, weak, or lazy to say that to your face, for fear of being castigated by others. They KNOW we're getting bombarded and invaded by people who really have no reason to be here....everyone from Mexico to Kenya storming the southern border and sneaking across the northern border.

The welfare of United States of America's citizens should be our priority, specifically at this point. That's not some kind of nefarious philosophy or strategy.

No accomplished, serious student of history, and economics believes that unrestrained immigration is a net positive for any sovereign nation. All one has to do is examine the recent histories of Germany, France and England.e

The United States of America, and specifically The State of Florida has no real need for more migrants, or immigrants (legal and especially illegal) ...I don't care if they're from beautiful Canada or remote parts of Ghana. We have no real need, and most United States citizens know that but don't want to tell you that to your face. They are disingenuous at the minimum, or just flat-out lying to you.

I would like to see equal fervor and zeal for foreigners to improve their own great countries...stay home and work for a better nation and personal and family life. Florida has no un-met, burning need for your expertise...not really...and that's the cold hard truth that many are too stupid to tell you to your face.

MOST of the people here do not agree with you. So I take issue with your pronouncements about what most of the people in Florida or in the USA want. Don't project your hate and xenophobia as the US norm. But I do agree that there are many stupid people both in Florida and in the USA. People who are afraid of having to work; people who are afraid to be shown they are incompetent. People who don't want competition.

I repeat - global flow of capital and resources are best for growing economies.

Well, there's a lot of negativity here. Sounds like a bunch of repressed and miserable people who hate the whole world.

Before you move down here, DO VISIT several places. I agree with RabFLMOM, Brevard County is awesome and where we plan on moving full time when I retire. We already own there, so all you miserable haters can flame me too for 'stealing' a beachside condo out from under a 'native'.

Plus, we need our teachers to be AMERICAN citizens! What do you know of USA History? We don't want any of that Critical Race Theory crap down here or whatever they teach in Canada! We want true American history taught by Americans!
So all Americans are instant experts on American History (which is an elective topic past grade school) versus Ph.D. candidates/grads who majored in the topic and worked through many years of study and dissertations before graduating? Furthermore the remainder of the 49 states are "free' as well since they're also Americans living under the same US Constitution and almost identical legal system...and newsflash! Canada is a free democracy as well! Of course that would entail some working knowledge of World History and/or an open mind to obtain news from varying legitimate news sources.

Maybe he's a math teacher? Lots of Floridians who are teachers are nationalized. The gentleman from Canada would be quite welcome here, just like all Canadians are.

We are better Nation when we have people who WISH/WANT to be here, as opposed to those who wish to dismantle western civilization, with things like CRT and the like.

wrong, but you're entitled to your own opinion

it seems to me you're a globalist, I'm not...I put America FIRST, 24/7, 365...all day long and on sundays too

The United States is not the European Union, it's the most powerful nation on the planet...without this economy, all other nations suffer..period.
