My experience in Florida says otherwise... And I do not fit the profile you describe.

The U.S. has seen a record increase in homeless people this year as the Covid-19 pandemic fades, according to a Wall Street Journal review of data from around the country.

The data so far this year are up roughly 11% from 2022, a sharp jump that would represent by far the biggest recorded increase since the government started tracking comparable numbers in 2007. The next highest increase was a 2.7% jump in 2019, excluding an artificially high increase last year caused by pandemic counting interruptions.

ALOT of those people are homeless and living in their cars in Florida!

None of the locales mentioned in your source citing increasing homelessness are in Florida.

What do you consider to be ALOT since Florida is not mentioned in your citation?

The actual number of homeless in Florida has been decreasing, not increasing. According to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, the total number of homeless in Florida has decreased by 46% since 2007 and deceased by 6% since 2020., compared to California where total homeless has increased by 23% since 2007 and increased by 6% since 2020.

I invite you to come to downtown Tampa and let's go on a homeless encampment tour! After that, I'll take you to the Pinellas beaches, where we can go on a tour of homeless living in RVs!

Living in an RV does not mean homeless. At all.

What Pinellas beaches are full of RVs anyway?

Downtown Tampa does have an issue with uncontrolled homeless though. Particularly near Scott and Morgan around the 275 underpasses.

You’re 100% right, RV doesn’t mean homeless. A lot of people like the nomadic lifestyle.

Her point about downtown is a stretch I think. I haven’t seen that many homeless.
