LOL, I've never considered the ability to fall asleep anywhere, given the chance for some downtime with no demands on my person or time a problem. On the contrary..... True or not, no concern of yours.

To me, there is something about a road trip these days that makes me sleepy. Though it's more comfy with your head propped on a pillow leaning against the window. I used to get carsick as a kid, found sleeping when I could made for less nausea.

The RV parked in a friend or family member’s side yard is apparently increasingly becoming the ‘affordable housing’ solution in these parts.

Which is not too different than we saw in California in 2021 where middle class housing was parking your RV on a side street in Pablo Alto overnight.

A lot of folks ignore the laws about how you’re supposed to change your car registration within 30 days of establishing residency in the Florida because they don’t have the extra money to do it. At one point, we had neighbors who kept the New Mexico plates on their car for the entire year they lived there.

More Americans Are Ending Up Homeless—at a Record Rate

The U.S. has seen a record increase in homeless people this year as the Covid-19 pandemic fades, according to a Wall Street Journal review of data from around the country.

The data so far this year are up roughly 11% from 2022, a sharp jump that would represent by far the biggest recorded increase since the government started tracking comparable numbers in 2007. The next highest increase was a 2.7% jump in 2019, excluding an artificially high increase last year caused by pandemic counting interruptions.

ALOT of those people are homeless and living in their cars in Florida!

I love to take long Amtrak train rides. I’d say half the times I don’t get a room and just sit in coach (which is comfortable in itself as long as you don’t have a slob next to you…) I’m used to sleeping sitting/reclined.
I can’t sleep in a moving car for some reason though. Same with airplanes.

Every publication I've read, lists Florida near the mid-point of the USA for overall cost of living.

If you have any reputable source that says otherwise, please share...remember o-v-e-r-a-l-l cost of living in 2023.

Florida is listed by too may pubs as the best place to live, best place to retire, best place to start a business, ect.. I'd break the internet if I tried to link them all here.

Florida has been among the fastest growing states for decades...and for good reason...its better than most every other state.

People are clearing out of states up north, to come to the Free State of Florida, where gov't leaves you alone, low taxes, avg cost of living, & lots of personal freedoms.
LOL. “Where gov’t leaves you alone & lots of personal freedom”. Yeah, sure as long as you’re a white, male, heterosexual, Christian, Right Winger. Anyone else, not so much.
