Funny you should say that.
Actually back in the Renaissance times only noblemen were allowed to own greyhounds.
There have been many "mid evil" festivals where we have been asked to bring our greyhounds.

Just love the pieces out of our Whippet named Mickey. We adopted him from Whippet Rescue.

We did have retired racing Greyhounds for just over 10 years. The last one, Crunch, passed away at 15. They were wonderful, wonderful animals.

It took two years before we entertained having another dog and decided to downsize to the Whippet. It was the perfect choice. He goes to work with me every day and absolutely loves the routine.

Don't forget the French - they LOVE their animals, too.

well let me copy and paste what I just said in another thread.Until I sell my house Im not having another dog,it would be difficult considering I never know when someone might show up and Im trying to keep the house as clean as possible.

Animals truely are a great addition to the family, the are such stress relief, loving, fun, and sometimes a good house alarm and deterent.

I've always loved dogs, really miss my Doby.Until I finally relocate though Im waiting to get another.

But,Ive never been hip on cats,I dont mind them but never was my thing. There is a black cat though that neighbors left behind a couple years ago, when ever Im outside smoking a cigarette or something she always comes up to me being super friendly. Most of the 'hood likes her too.

So.....a few months ago I finally got suckered, been feeding her and she sleeps in my bed at night sometimes. She usually wants to be outside mostly...usually waking me at 5am arghh!! to go out,but lol!,with this cool blast she couldn;t wait to be inside,I guess she don't like being a "cool" cat haha!

here she is.My cat with a strat.

Oh Lion, I LOVE your cat. He looks elegant and soft and cuddly.

Evey, the pic in the collage where the cat and dog are playing is just adorable. When our dogs were still on earth, they'd play with the cats, too.

Rico, I'm relieved to see that no one has chosen hissers for their fave pets.

We're kitty people and are owned by four of them at the moment. If it were up to hubby, there'd be 12.

We've had this crew for 5 years now - 2 (sisters) from a shelter - one looks like Cil's except she's not cross-eyed, and the other loos like Evey's - and 2 from a private home - the male is an orange tabby and the female is a blue, long hair. THey're sweethearts. THe male likes to give me kisses at 3:30 in the morning. Anyway, our biggest worry about our move this fall is how they'll do. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Forgot to mention - we love dogs, too, as long as they don't bark too much! And thanks for posting your photos - they're all very handsome creatures.

I was also surprise that we did not get more pictures/stories for hissers, birds (they got to be a million in the state), and exotic animals.

Also 33 individuals took the time to vote. Looks like is only a very small amount of individuals that participate in the forum...
