Congratulations, what is the location?

I selected Orange county property line as a reference: http://www.ocpafl.org/docs/hxbro.html (broken link)
Dear Homeowner:
Did you know that you could save approximately $500 off your property taxes annually? If you own property that you will be using as your permanent residence on January 1, 2007, you could reduce the taxable value of your homestead property by up to $25,000, resulting in a tax savings of approximately $500 annually.
Our office is accepting exemption applications for the 2007 tax year until March 1, 2007. We offer three (3) easy ways to file for the exemption: in person, by mail, and online.
For your convenience, you may download the exemption application, fill it out and mail it to our office. Once approved, your exemption may be automatically renewed if you do not make any title changes or move from your property.

Thanks, Sunrico. As always, a fountain of information.
Unfortunately, since we own the home but lease the land, it looks like we won't qualify, but it would help others, I'm sure.

Can I ask, how does the lease of the land and ownership of the home works? I don't know...

It's a manufactured home in one of those "dreaded" gated communities where you pay HOA fees. We own the home, but we lease the lot from the community. Is that what you were asking?

Thanks so much. It's a community called Sterling hill - in Spring Hill. We've always known about Spring Hill and we weren't going to even look there, but on the last day of our trip, we wanted to check out a certain builder and I just fell in love with the community and the homes were really nice. I always heard that Spring Hill was like little NY - all retired NY'rs. But this community had alot of young people in it and lots of stuff for little kids to do.
What's great about the location too is that it is right in the middle of Inverness and Lithia. And that is where both of my families live. Not too close and not too far. Just right.

If you've never lived in Florida in the summer, that weird feeling is going to increase ...exponentially...!
After that subsides, you have snowbird season to look forward to..
Good luck..
