Went out with friends last night. I had a delicious NY Strip steak...well half of it with salad and a baked potato. That should be my steak fix for about 6 months or so

Today is DH's birthday, so I am going to make him a treat; beef short-rib stew with parsley dumplings.
Its a really old recipe from my moms Better Homes and Gardens meat cookbook from the early 60s.....awesome recipe!
Also making a salad with baby greens from the garden and a red velvet cake from scratch for the birthday boy!

I just bought some farmed trout and some stuffed clams and stuffed scallops on the half shell. I'll probably have some rice pilaf and a little salad with it.
