I'm having left over spaghetti with a salad and ciabatta rolls. It was good yesterday and will probably be twice as good today. Sweet iced tea to drink.

Sweet corn was 6/$1 today so I had one of those, with a quickie potato salad. Leftover mashed potatoes with cut up roma tomato and hatch pepper* with olives, mayo and paprika. Nice vegetarian supper (not that I care) for about 60c a serving.

*I never heard of Hatch Peppers before, they look like pale poblanos, with a piquancy between poblano and bell pepper. Pretty nice, marked down to 1.29/lb, from a usual 3-something. I bought ten of them. Turned out that they are named for Hatch, New Mexico, which I remember because of the beautiful drive from Hatch to Deming, with interesting and varied roadside birdwatching.

We are having marinated and grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, and they are having corn on the cob - I don't like corn.

One of my favorite meals--tocino and steamed rice, with a side of steamed broccoli and a fruit cup with cantaloupe and watermelon balls.
