I am jealous of everyone with what I refer to as "weather" - we don't get much of it here in So Cal - I can't even remember the last time it rained here.

Maybe I'll bake some cookies tonight and imagine some rainclouds are gathering as I pop them in the oven.

Tonight is a sharp cheddar quiche made from farm fresh pastured chicken eggs, and a vegetable risotto. This will be my first 'from scratch' risotto, so I'm really excited.

We have some heavy rain on the way for the next day or two, so I just went out and spread grass seed and a little top soil on a bare patch of lawn. I'll let Mother Nature do a little of the watering.

Elston, would you please share this oven browned potatoe and onion and carrot? That sounds so darn good!! Do you just put it all in the oven and bake it together? You know me..I need a little detail as I am no good with guessing like you and so many others here!

Ok, I went to the store and bought bacon. No margaritas til survivor comes on so I am actually going to cook it tonight sober. LOL Having a meal that my Grandma made me growing up and some people might think its gross but here goes. Mac and cheese with cooked bacon mixed in. Wait for it.....bacon grease subbed for the butter. Sooooo good. Definitely a meal I can't cook when hubby is around. The kids love it when we have it. So thats what is for dinner tonight.
