I kind of wing it, but here it is.
3 tomatillos
1/2 cup mayo
1/2 cup sour cream
1/3 cup milk
2 garlic cloves
1 cup cilantro, stems removed
ranch dressing seasoning to taste
red wine vinegar to taste
Mix everythig in blender and refrigerate. I usually make mine at least 1 hour in advance.
Well, it happened, I caught my husband's cold. So for supper I'm going to heat up some chicken broth.
I had an awful PT session yesterday. They had me on the parallel bars working on my walking and I got really dizzy, passed out and then threw up. My knee is still throbbing today.
Tonight will be BBQ'd porterhouse steaks with a side of broccoli and cheese. It will only be around 70 degrees today but there is no wind , so it's perfect grilling weather.
After catching up with all the posts I think I'm building an appetite. After getting my planned chili over potato dinner foiled last night I'm going to have it tonight even if the creek does rise. Last night my mom sent over a box of stuff for dinner. My wife stops on her way home daily to change a bandage for her and I think she was trying to do something nice in exchange. Dressing was great until the celery got into a shouting match with the prilosec. The prilosec eventually won but it was a close game.
Oh Molochai-so sorry you caught the dreaded gunk and what an ordeal! Lots of bed rest and chicken soup for you.
Back from shopping-got a huge pack of boneless thighs-so a bunch went in the freezer. A big tri-tip roast that will go in the oven tomorrow. Fresh zucchini, fruit-ready for a cold snowy weekend. It is bitterly cold today-the kind that cuts right thru you and hurts.
You found a tri-tip roast where you live? Now why in the world can't I find them here in NC? So far I have only found marinated tri-tips...not the same thing at all! Boy I miss a good tri-tip! I even looked at Sams Club here and no tri-tips. I feel so cheated!!!
I'm sure it will be great! Tri-tip is a quick-cooking roast so be sure not to overdo.
I don't know what to make this weekend that will translate well to my lunch box next week.. I've been holding out for $1.99/lb chuck roast sales like I got lots of last year, but so far it hasn't gone beneath $2.99. I might just have to bite the bullet and get one this weekend and make beef and mushroom stew. Hmm... or taco meat... tough, tough decision.
