Good Morning.....all is quiet at the moment.....last night we had an incredible meal prepared by my son.....I am not sure what you would call it but it involved lobsters, a stock he cooked with lobster shells and vegetables....and cooked down to concentrate it ..... then lobster meat and oven roasted fennel and fresh tarragon and flat leafed parsely, vegetables and the stock and cream making a delicious mix of flavors served in bowls with linguini. It was heavenly!
While that was going on I also roasted a 24 pound turkey.....and put that meat away and boiled the bones for stock.....we all picked on turkey all yesterday afternoon and had sandwiches for breakfast...tonight I believe we are having shrimp scampi made with fresh from the ocean Maine shrimp.

elston you are fixing to be put on the naughty list buddy! Are trying to kill me here or what that is my all time favorite seafood dish.

nik got to love those taste testings!

kelsie I have to go into shark infested waters from time to time so I can reset my rep ticker for my foodies! Thanks to this thread I have found another thread I am enjoying Prayers over in the chat area. When I first came to CD I went to the religion forums but folks over there are always trying to prove God isn't real in most of the threads where nice people are trying to play. I respect others beliefs if you don't believe in God OK but I do so please don't tell me I am an idiot you know? Good not to have that in the chat prayer room. Thanks for the open invite!

Yep, it's all trial and error going into different forums/threads. I think most of us have learned the hard way! Every so often I see something that catches my eye and I'll wander in...but I usually don't stay long. I just like the cozy feeling around those here and on a couple of other threads. I do enjoy the games just to relax.
For dinner tonight I am making hot roast beef sandwiches with gravy, mashed potatoes and corn. Easy and filling.

It's been fried, with coconut curry sauce, and cilantro.

Cyn we were going to have the same thing and thankfully I called the deli before venturing out-they're closed Christmas Eve and Day!!!!

So now it's cheese omelets and eng muffins-simple and easy.

And I know we can live vicariously thru SKBS's kids excitement Cyn. Holidays are different when they're grown and in different areas.
