My garden here is really starting to come along. I have a baby green pepper growing, tons of lemons starting, all my seeds have sprouted and are really taking off. I can't wait.

There is always a sense of accomplishment when you actually see signs of life from the garden! Soon we will be able to harvest our spinach and beet greens. ( did you know steamed beet greans taste like steamed spinach that already has butter on it? It's great) The lettuce has run it's course and we planted bush beans last week. Should have nice green beans most of the summer.

I'll post it when I get home from work. I know the ingrediants just not the measurements. It was great. Although I would suggest removing the skin from the chicken.

This is my first garden in over five years and I didn't realize how much I missed it until now. Granted it isn't my huge row gardens that I used to have but I at least get to play in the dirt a little bit and that makes me happy.

Ok I gotta ask what is a beet green. I have never heard of it before. (Don't know if my kids would eat it? )

Beet greens are the top of the beet plant. Most people eat the beet itself which grows under the ground (like a carrot) and they throw away the tops.
We give the beets to the neighbors and keep the green for ourselves.Next week will put tomato plants in the ground.

Dinner tonight is tacos, refried beans and rice- nothing fancy just filling and fun.

I would agree with that. She must be in hog heaven right about now, having all her family around
