Chinese food from my favorite local place, which is the usual fried rice with barbecued pork and black pepper chicken.

I had Almrausch's homemade Punjabi style yogurt garnished with Greek olives, fresh basil & a bit of cumin with a tomato/cuke salad with fresh lemon.

First time I've had, let alone made, my own yogurt. One cannot describe the difference between this & store bought... it tastes refreshingly wholesome, light & pleasant! What a delight! I recommend everyone give it a go. (Alm graciously listed her recipe in post #1276.)

Personally, I think I'll enjoy it more with fruit blended into it, but I will be using this yogurt in gravies & sauces, too. It would be wonderful blended... banana/strawberry/yogurt smoothie!

Thank you, Alm for sharing your recipe!!!

You are very welcome*PatanjaliTwist* and thank you for your kind comments. I make it for 30 years now and we never could do without it. We mainly drink it as lassi...1/2 jug yogurt,1/2 jug water and mix it with a whisk. sometimes I make raitas,or add like you said fruit or compote. Have a good weekend
