I tried yogurt but I think there must be something better. I am using maple syrup with pancakes and it is good but maybe an added addition would be good also.

Fruit, powdered sugar, other types of syrups, honey, cream, custard, cinnamon, chocolate sauce, caramel, jam. Anything you'd like!

I like them with apple sauce and cinnamon. Or with nutella (chocolate-hazelnut spread). But I know our European pancakes are different than your American pancakes, so it might not work for you.

I like them with strawberry preserves. I also make Maple Walnut Syrup. Just marinate a bunch of walnuts in maple syrup (just enough to barely coat each nut) - love this on ice cream too!

Butter - let it melt and then add some maple syrup. Sometimes simple is best.

I prefer jam, I'm not a fan of maple syrup. It's too sweet for me.

I also like them with butter, and a couple of fried eggs on top.

I also like the dessert-style pancakes with fruit & whipped cream I used to get (as a child) at restaurants.

slice a firm banana and saute in butter. Add syrup of choice, I like maple, and pour warm over pancakes.

Warm peanut butter and spread between pancakes. Top with jelly or syrup.
