I took a huge gulp of Emergen-C this morning and just about threw it right back up. That was an hour ago and I'm still queasy.

As for food, I had some nachos a couple of months ago at a local Mexican restaurant (can't even remember which one now) and barely made it home and into the bathroom. I don't think that the nachos were bad; I think I just ate too many of them and was so full, my body just purged them out.

The very first time I got food poisoning, it was the first time I had Chinese food. I was 12 and it hit the whole family. It was probably a good 20 years before I was convinced to go out for it again!

About 12 years ago I had to give in to my onion sensitivity. I eat onions, I get sick. But I adore onion rings. The last time I had them, I was sick for three days. Done.

And about 20 years ago, I ate a cranberry orange muffin. What I didn't know was I was getting a stomach virus. I nw associate the two and won't cranberry orange anything turns my stomach.

I don't think I have ever had proper food poisoning. Most the time people get sick from viruses (maybe by eating food prepared by someone sick), not the actual food.

I do have stomach issues, so I feel sick after I eat and can't eat certain things. For example: pork..I haven't had pork since I was 8 years old. It made me sick every time.

Garlic makes me nauseous. I can handle in little bits, but too much makes me nauseous. Took me a while to narrow that one down.

The way that our minds associate a food that we ingested (just prior to getting sick) with the illness itself is more or less inescapable, even if we know that the food in question had nothing to do with the illness.

Similar to your situation, I can recall my mother getting seasick on my uncle's cabin cruiser (circa 1960) shortly after eating a hard-boiled egg. Even though she knew that the rough water--rather than the hard-boiled egg--was the real cause of her queasiness, she was unable to eat hard-boiled eggs until somewhere around the late '70s-early '80s.

I always get a little queasy after I eat peanuts, or peanut butter, but I still eat it once in awhile. My mouth likes it, but my body doesn't.

I'm trying to find more dirty foods to eat to boost my stomach's bacteria biome. The more diverse the biome the stronger my immune system as well as key to reducing fat consumption and better digestion.

People who get food poison easily because the food they eat contains way too many preservatives and makes them weak to simple food born bacteria. People who eat too clean have to eat food that are completely disinfected of any bacteria this means more preservatives.
