Staying home like we always do and giving the amateur amateurs the entire road to slaughter each other on without our interference.

After a Christmas banquet of hors d' oeuvres we are still finishing up the leftovers at every meal and at this point I'm thinking a nice bread and butter sandwich would taste good about now!

DH has a birthday coming up on the 29th and we'll all be going out for a meal in early January to celebrate that. Daughter gave us some frozen chicken and dumplings and cabbage rolls so I'll probably just thaw one of those out.

We'll stay indoors warm and cozy.

Staying in on New Years Eve as we have a show at the local performance hall (Manheim Steamroller) on 12/29. We will go out for brunch on 1/1/17.

Way too much crazy out there for old folks on NYE.

It depends on if the crazy girls want to spend New Years Eve with us. Sometimes they sleep over for two nights. That will be maybe a pizza or Chinese food night and a scary movie after the zoo walk. If they don't come then we will do our annual zoo walk, then off to one maybe two parties.

New Years Eve will be chili with rice, cheese, crackers, etc., while we are watching Alabama play in the National Championship!

I also make a New Years Soup with noodles (long life), rice (abundance), collards (dollars), blackeyed peas (pennies), and pork (root forward) for the next day.

New Year's, we usually stay home and grill (weather permitting) burgers, wings, steaks, hot dogs and watch the bowl games. A few friends come over and we may have a few beers and relax.

Staying home. No use letting the drunks get 'points' off us.

Champagne.

Then, sushi rolls, some form of Chinese take-out, pigs in blankets, pate, and Swedish meatballs. We'll be eating that stuff all week.
