Default Our Memorial Day Tradition

Memorial Day we try to keep up on a family tradition we started a while ago. I bought "America in a box" (aka American-opoly) and the first time we played was on Memorial Day. So this year, we'll stay home and do that again, maybe order a pizza & wings.

All our family get togethers were during graduation the last two weeks so we will have a quiet cook out Monday on the deck. I have 3 slabs of beef back ribs off the back of prime ribs I've been saving so I'll cook them off tonight in the oven then let them marinade till Monday afternoon and probably just make some simple salads and corn on the cob wrapped in tinfoil on the grill with the ribs.

I'm trying to get together a mini bbq. I don't have family in this area so I invited up a few people. If they can't make it then I'm feeding the neighborhood!

I have to clean out my deep freezer. I have a brisket, a boat load of chicken, a lot of pasta, ribs, and some fresh corn that I shaved off the cob and put in the freezer. It will be some mixture of those items.

Definitely a cookout. It's not a holiday to me without hamburgers and hot dogs. Add some potato salad, baked potatoes and corn on the cob cooked on the grill and strawberry shortcake for dessert.
