Skbs...I just went through the same thing with my 12 yr old son!!!! I didn't have to resort to going to the doctor but I did have to sit on him to get this huge splinter out of his foot. I however did Elston's mom's method. I totally sympathize with you. LOL "No Mom, not the needle, what are doing with the needle? " Yep my big bad football playing son taken down by a splinter. LOL

Today is my oldest son's 13th birthday so dessert will be Spice cake which he requested. We made his birthday dinner last night, Shrimp PoBoys with homemade hoagie buns and french fries. It was really tasty.

Dinner tonight will be baked chicken drumsticks, rice with black beans and corn and of course birthday cake.

Hope everyone has a great day!!!!!!!!!!

elston.............what a wonderful trip you have coming up have fun.
skbs..........don't envy you. I remember those days.
George.........wow, what a host.

I actually cooked all morning yesterday. Made 2 giant trays of meatballs, big pot of gravy/sauce with pork. Took a large container to DH and boy did enjoy it. My kitchen was a total mess but it was worth it

Did a lot of prep work too yesterday. Beside grinding my own meats for the meatballs I cleaned chicken breasts, cut some into strips, some sliced and cubed. Speaking of chicken breasts has anyone noticed how large the breasts have been. These were larger than turkey breasts.......scary.
Had lots of London Broil so I sliced some for Fajitas and strogonoff, and cubed some for stew. Freezer is full. I just need some time now to cook some of it

Chicken Quesadilla maybe for tonight. Have a great day everyone.

SKBS....great story. Too funny. I too think she could win an Academy.

I have to go back and catch up especially on George's posts to see how everything went this weekend.

Tonight I am making homemade chicken pies.....I use chicken carrots mushrooms onion celery potatoes and zucchini. I haven't really cooked in about a week.

Looks like I'm leaning towards chicken fajitas for dinner tonight. I think I'll make some chciken rice for a side.
Had the A/C repaired this AM--whew!! Hopefully it will be ok now! Still in the low 80's today. I just finished planting 6 tomatoe plants so we can hopefully enjoy our homegrown tomatoes this summer! It just isn't summer without them! Now we can use a bit more rain!

Hi everyone! I thought I'd get to rest today after two very busy days...yes, the day at the beach can take a toll on you! LOL... Anyway, I ended up doing more spring cleaning, at least, I'm finished for today.

Dinner tonight is a salad and homemade pizza.

Have a great day where ever you are, it's another beautiful warm day here!

Just look at the $$ you'll save on drama classes SKBS!!!!! You poor thing-you need Juan and a flowery drink.

Bella-wow that's impressive. How's DH? Any idea when he comes home?

MTH-Happy Birthday to DS.

Cyn hope it wasn't a pricey fix.

Crazy-could you make 2 more-we'll be there around 5 for cocktails.

Us 2 antiques browsed antique shops after a late breakfast out. It is soooooo cold everyone we met is complaining so I don't feel bad.
