Hello to all.....just passing through. Have to go walk the dog. Then back home to finish up some of thse chores that I started last night. Our 10 yr. old gd.son will be 11 this Sat. and we are going to his other g.parents for a big B-Day party for him. I think I may have to get about 3-4 quarts of strawberries and prepare them since those are one of his favorite things. Haven't made up my mind as of yet.
So, how is everyone else doing and any foodie type of plans for the weekend?
I'm still stuffed from last night's dinner DH wanted to go to Olive Garden and I thought I would just have their soup, salad and of course breadsticks but he "forced" me into a entree, so I did. Didn't finish it but I did finish my two tropical sangria's
Love Sangria............someone gave me a great recipe for it recently and I actually hate to share the pitcher once it's made..........sssshhhhhh don't tell my secret.
CW, me too but because it has fruit in it, I think it's healthy and good for you Can you share you great recipe or can I just come over and maybe have just a sip. I promise not to drink the whole pitcher
Sure Bella BOTH.......you can come anytime and I'll still give you the recipe....LOL
Sangria
1 jug of the Carlo & Rossi Sangria (cheap like $9 maybe)
1 cup of OJ (or if you prefer, you can use lemonade in place of OJ and lime juice)
1/4 cup of lime juice
1/2 cup of sugar (not 100% if that's the right measurement might be a little more or a little less)
1 cup of ginger ale or soda (I didn't add any last time b/c I ran out)
and then whatever fruit you want.
I usually add oranges, limes, lemons, and strawberries or raspberries.
