Went to Outback to get the wedge salad with filet again. It's an awesome wedge salad with blue cheese and bacon, served with a couple of slices of rare roast beef. Perfection.
my room mate told I should brown the pork for stew, and the parts of the beef marrow bones that I could before adding any water. Brown them in oil (but I had leftover bacon grease to use up). That was one thing I didn't know. As far as the vegetables go, I asked on the Vegetarians subforum. I added rutabaga, parsley root (similar to parsnips and carrots, but NOT the same as the former, as it turns out), and carrots. My room mate suggested that I ALSO add some potatoes--but I didn't really want any.
Put some leftover leek parts in it that she didn't use in her dish and was going to toss, for flavoring, some garlic, salt, and half a bunch of parsley.
I don't plan to actually eat the leeks or parsley.
So how did it turn out did ya like it?
We had leftover BBQ ribs and fixings from last night.
About to have roast pork, potatoes, pumpkin and baked carrots & vegies.
Something must be in the air for a roast, onions, potatoes, and carrots.
