Four plump ears, corn on the cob (boiled) with butter and salt. That's the last of the dozen from the farm stand on Sunday

DH has a bad, bad cold so I made a hearty Chicken Soup from necks, carcasses, bone-in thighs and breasts, veggies and orzo pasta. I served it up with some garlic bread made from ciabatta. DH says he felt a whole lot better after it. I made enough for the next couple of days.

I'm way behind here.. I give up catching up. Hope y'all have had many wonderful dinners.

It's been over 100 degrees for 19 straight days I think. Going to be 100-104 next 7 also. Le sigh. It just drains all the energy right out of you.

Monday: cup of potato leek soup and some wasa crackers spread with goat cheese & topped with basil leaves and proscuitto.

Tuesday: linguine with shrimp, mushrooms, garlic, onion, tomato, red pepper flakes sauteed in olive oil & butter.

Today: leftover pasta for me and a strip steak for DH. Green leafy salad w/ balsamic vinaigrette.

Hot & spicy chicken or pizza. If lucky some of both. That's Plan A.
