Stuffed breadsticks with sausage dipped in cheese sauce. Salad to get our veggies in.

Default Hot Chicken

A roasted chicken from the store and baked potatoes. Yawn, . We keep telling our selves to start eating more green vegetables but it never seems to happen. We should have had some broccoli with it.
We quit the tobacco, we quit the alcohol, now we need more greens, and did I mention that eating healthy is barely affordable it seems, at least for us !

You could just saute spinach with garlic and brown butter, sprinkle some lemon and salt on top. Mmmmm, buttery greens. The butter negates anything healthy the greens may have offered

I may head to Boston Market after work today. I don't feel much like cooking. I seemed to have a summer cold now.

Honestly I never much feel like cooking anymore---been doing it many years now. Probably just need a break but thank goodness my DH pitches in and cooks too or I'd probably quit eating! Ha!
Tonight is ham steaks on the BBQ with red potatoes and tomatoes, cucumbers and of course cut up watermelon. I'm getting a bit tired of the cucumbers and we still have a huge bag to eat with more on the vines--yikes!! Seems tomatoes are not going to produce as many as last year--already getting only a few on the vines...sigh...
