Yep i know i use to go to the Wixom market and Ford employees were in their buying lottery tickets and snacks all the time. I lived at old plank and Pontiac trail.
Again what’s up with this getting hit by a passing car business?
First off who just exits the car in front of passing traffic without looking first?
Second, if the car hits you, it doesn’t matter if it hits you first before the door vs the other way around.
It probably happens enough with kids that both Hyundai and Audi are using their blind spot systems to prevent doors from opening when traffic is passing:
No Ford theater and Abe Lincoln you know we’re he was shot and killed. And Henry Ford was less than honest watch a biology about him he treated his son Edsel like his employees. He authorized useing violance against striking workers a few were killed in the process at his Rogue plant.

Think about it. You can jump off a moving car a lot easier if the door was hinged on the back, hence the "suicide door." If that doesn't work, you could get hit by a passing car too.
Yep. I love the old 60's era Lincolns with the rear hinged doors, especially the convertibles (Jay Leno featured a 1966 model in his garage). I'd love to get a vintage one one of these days. The rag top though looks too complicated to service and maintain with its servos and motors.
This is the Lincoln that JFK was assassinated in its in the Henry Ford museum in Dearborn Michigan Ford owned the car still when JFK was president so they got it back and put it on display.
