Go to Estero and rent a canoe at the Koreshan State Park. Drive to Sanibel Island for a day at the beach and stop at CROW. (Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife) Go to the Edison Home in Fort Myers. Visit Caribbean Gardens (Naples Zoo) in Naples.

Red Coconut RV park directly on the beach in Ft. Myers Beach. The town square there is nice also.

"Seafood buffet" and "very good" don't go together for me. If seafood is heated for even a minute too long, it gets dry.

Anyway, if you want inexpensive seafood without all the frills, go to Skip One in South Fort Myers on route 41. You won't find much fresher seafood without catching it yourself. It's very casual. (plastic forks) I'm not a beer drinker, but I think they didn't have a full bar, so I got a cold beer. Sort of adds to the experience. Reminded me of when I'd get beer in a plastic cup at Fenway Park.

EDIT: OOPS!!! When you said "price of not much concern" I first thought you meant cheap. Then I read it again. I can name lots of good seafood restaurants in Southwest Florida. Depends on the atmosphere you want. Sweet Melissa's on Sanibel Island is an upscale cafe, but every place is casual on Sanibel, so you can wear shorts. The portions are small, but that's the whole idea. People usually order several different dishes. Sorry, when you said "RV-ing" I automatically thought of something "in the rough" which is why I mentioned Skip One. You didn't mention if you'll have children with you. I'm not sure young children would appreciate the cuisine.
