It's funny. I'm from the northeast. Drive the speed limit, refuse to break traffic laws....In other words, I drive like an old lady, too. Except I really am one!

Oh! And I can't drive in the sleet and snow, either!

Boy, I thought I'd have to babysi.....I mean moderate until I saw this was a husband/wife thing....haha.

I try to keep with the flow of traffic. I try to keep a good space between the guy in front of me and myself.
I do drive above the limit........I've heard the saying, "under 8 you skate, drive 9 you're mine" meaning you can drive 8 mph over and should not be ticketed.

I do not know if it is true, but I have not had a ticket or an accident in over 35 years.

I'll be driving back down to Florida in a couple of weeks.....hopefully without any tickets or incidents. I'll have NY plates....but I'll be mostly on I-95. I do notice that I drive even safer with my new Prius.........trying to keep my mpg over 50.

Frank

He's in one room, I'm across the house in another. I sign on and see a crack about my driving? Humph...

I pretty much follow that same rule too, except for those notorious speed traps we talked about, Waldo, Lawtey, and south of Sebring on 25.

I try not to go 5 miles over the speed limit, although if I'm not paying attention my foot will get tired and I will go a little faster. Therefore on long trips I use my cruise control. Rt 390 is one of the biggest speed trap areas I've ever been on!

Bighouse,
Where is Rt 390 ? I ask because we have a Rt 390 close to me here in NY...cuts through Rochester to the southern tier of NY.

There is a route 310 in Florida that I have avoided like the plague because of the speed traps in Waldo, etc.......

Frank

Not tryin' to be uppity about it Frank, but that's actually route 301....I'd hate to see you blow a 35 year streak because you thought you were on the road without the speed traps......
