Hi, I'm considering buying a new home in Keller. I like the conveniences of Southlake, but hate the home prices there. Also, the size of new homes there are a lot bigger than what I am looking for. Any advice on communities/locations and builders in Keller? Thanks in advance.

What price are you wanting to pay ? makes a difference.

Google Drees Builders or First Texas Homes. They both have new subdivisions and do a good job. Drees will be your higher priced builder.

Who to avoid... KB Homes & Grand Homes (JMO)

just make sure you buy IN Keller proper
would also say there are some quality older neighborhoods that have lots of positives

Drees is in the process of building new homes right off of Rufe Snow, Cobblestone park. (460+)
They are also one of the builders in Marshal Point and Marshal Ridge. (390+)

I'm looking to spend less than $450,000.

you need to do some online searching and see what you can get--
your price point is really too vague--most home communities range from 150 to 450 but you won't find them all in the same neighborhood--

I was at the new Drees Subdivision today in Keller with a client. They have a very nice spec home that's finished that is very close to that price.

North Richland Hills has some nice homes in that price range and so does Colleyville and they can be closer to Southlake conveniences than some parts of Keller
