You should probably read the thread. You're missing the fact that a want is a need. Thus something cannot be a want and fail to be a need at the same time.

I think with shoes, a $25 pair at Walmart could be a hit or miss. You can get a piece of crap or you can get something which is perfect for your feet. There's no guarantee. But with a slightly more expensive pair from a shoe brand that has put a lot of R&D into their design, you're likely to consistently get good shoes that provide the proper support, are safe, and are comfortable.

Depends on what kind they were. Also, they are hand made and very good quality. It could last you for 10 years.

The plain old jeans are boring.
