Vital Savings by Aetna

It's a wellness discount card. Dental, chiropractic, massage and vision. 12.99 a month for a family. So for 12.99 a month I'm saving eighty dollars a month at the Chiropractor.

The chiropractor discount iis handled by a division of Aetna called A.S.H. Once I told the doc we were A.S.H. he knew instantly how to bill them.

My dentist actually recommended it before I enrolled, I called her to see if they took it. I had four fillings redone last week. Without dscount = 365.00 with discount 265.00.

If you need help the person on the other end is English first language speaking.

Had my 13-year-old granddaughter help me purge my closet of too many clothes so I can give them to charity. Granddaughter is ruthless so that helps.

Downloaded a ton of digital coupons to my grocery store reward card and watched all those discounts come off as cashier was ringing items up. Saved $23.82.

I don't know how frugal this is, but it did save me money. I have 4 children and Christmas is coming up. WalMart had their early Black Friday sale at 6 pm tonight. I shopped and bought about 3/4 of what I needed at their sale prices. On top of that my oldest son works at WalMart so I got an extra discount because of that.

My daughter was wanting this certain book, which I found on Amazon.com. I noticed that they have a special where if you apply and get accepted for their Amazon.com Visa card you get a $50 credit automatically. I ended up getting 2 books for me, 2 books for my son, and 2 books for my daughter and just paid some of the shipping, about $12.00.

I have vitamins, mouthwash and toothpaste on my shopping list for December. As usual I looked online and got coupons for each of them. $2 off the mouthwash, $1 off ea of other two. I need to go to HEB and Target to get these coupon discounts, but I would have shopped there anyway. I never pay full price for these items. I don't care for the generic brands either.

I saved $30.51 at Kroger using a combination of E-coupons and paper coupons. I bought nothing that I will not use before the end of December.

I got a set of 6 white, Martha Stewart, brand new Irish coffee mugs at the Goodwill for .30 cents each. Rounded up to the nearest dollar amount for charity for a whopping grand total of $2.00. I will be using the mugs at our Christmas dinner.

That was the full extent of my "Black Friday" shopping.

The other day I got two books that my daughter had been wanting at Burkes Outlet for $3.99 each that they wanted $14.99 each for on Amazon. To add to that, each book had a card inside for a free 1 year subsciption to a popular cooking magazine. So, I filled out one card for myself, and one for my mother as a gift, and sent them in.

Today, I will be heading to a large thrift store where they have a large selection of second hand artificial Christmas trees in the $10 range. The last one I paid $10 for and we used it for 7 years. I finally had to throw it out last year because it was getting too old and worn looking, but we definitely got our moneys worth out of it.

I am also heading to Bath and Body, where I have a $10.00 coupon off a $30.00 purchase. I buy their foaming hand soaps in various scents for gift because I know they will get used, and they're a nice little luxury.

Wow great job RogueMom! Wish our thrift stores had bargains like that. They charge a couple dollars each for glasses. I don't even go in anymore.

I stock up on big bags of cat litter when winter is coming, and also on the wood shavings for the horse stalls. Today it was bitter cold and I wasn't feeling good so I was able to skip the two bales of shavings and big bag of cat litter I usually buy.

Feeling crappy also means I'm not eating (food tastes like crap) so I didn't buy any fresh veggies, just carrots for soup, so saved there. Also cut out dairy b/c everyone telling me I could have a dairy allergy causing my sickness, so didn't buy cottage cheese, cheeses or as much half and half, so saved there, too.
