Yep, I'm in a retirement apartment complex and everyone here hates the electric stoves. Hard to cook on, everything burns!

Anyway, my first summer squash is nearly ready. Probably my favorite vegetable. For tomatoes, I only have cherry tomatoes left and then I'm down to beets and as always, the parsley grown indoors.

(Loved those big photos of tomato sauce or whatever is. Going to can them, by the looks of it. Brings back fond memories.)

Harvest Season is here, earlier plants are beginning to die (Zucchini, Squash, Cucumbers) but Tomatoes and Peppers are THRIVING. We are only just over a month from my first frost

What zone in Montana are you in? (Right before covid me and my wife went out there and skiied Whitefish, Big Sky, and Bridger bowl - Montana is a BEAUTIFUL state.

I was in zone 5b at my last house but I just squeak into 6a here (mean min of -9F). First frost here is usually October 4th

It's 11°F but ……….. Its almost that time of year to check inventory and set up a plan for this year. I threw my back out so I wont be doing 2 garden beds or too much.

Just Cukes, Tomatoes, maybe Onions and the greens in the raised beds.

Tis the season

By next week we will be tilling a patch for snow peas and lettuce and maybe more. A massive order for seed will be placed once we close on property that we have a contract on. We will have acres to spread out on so nothing is crowed. It will be a learning experience in a new state and new climate with similar soil to what we had in MO. Not as much clay but some. The red AL dirt seems to be quite fertile. The main ag crops around us are corn, cotton, and peanuts.
