How are any of these "weird?" That is the normal way to pronounce those words.

Some of them are pretty weird if you're not from Minnesota. And since most people aren't from Minnesota, most people would find them weird.

You think that because you are from the same state as the poster!

I should warn y'all, that I often say "Y'all" and a few other southern dialects...Please, for your safety do NOT try to picture "y'all" with a New York Accent! It sounds so bad when I say it! lol!

As for elementary, most people pronounce it el-em-entREE although it's common for some people to shorten it to just el-uh-metry.

How about "coyote"? I guess it's supposed to be pronounced "ky-oh-tee", but I've always said "ky-oat."

Sandwich = Samwich.

I once heard someone explain that in a part of the country--I think it was somewhere in the Midwest--people pronounce the word spelled M-I-L-K as "melk." To me, that's one of the weirdest things I ever heard!

Being a native son of Brooklyn, my immediate response was, "Geddoudahere!"
