Is there a state in the union where you can't simply waltz into a gun shop, pawn shop or sporting goods store and walk out with a shotgun or hunting rifle? I can't think of any.
Too easy....you basically have to turn down guns in St. Louis. The crazy thing about Missouri is that the voters banned concealed carry and then the redneck state legislatures voted to overturn it. The insanity must stop someday.
Michigan: quite easy to buy rifle or shotgun. You have to get a purchase permit for a handgun though. The good thing is that MI is now a "Shall Issue" state for a CCW permit. I have no idea how easy it would be to get an illegal weapon, never even tried. No reason really when you can stay on the + side of the law and get what you want or need for hunting legally.
It is easy to get a gun, and it should be easy since our constitution gaurantees the right to keep and bear arms. I live in Michigan by the way, and many of us hunt here. Guns are part of most households in this part of the country.
NJ - damn near impossible legally, a bit easier illegally, but it's not worth the trouble at all.
