There are so many wonderful places depending what you want. We love the west for its beauty and hiking. Go to a big city to experience that. Maybe Chicago or New York. I love the upper midwest for the scenery. Lake Superior is awe inspiring. California is a fun place to see. Boston, Philly have a lot of historical things to see. We love the Amish Country in Pennsylvania. Grand Canyon is something to see. The list could go on and on.
We live in a great country and there it would be hard to narrow it down to one region.
Have fun!

The United States is a big country. It is difficult to pinpoint locations without knowing your interest. Imagine if I wrote, "I am going to Europe. What should I see?". However, you did express an interest in modeling so I would check out NYC for that. The nanny part could be done anywhere. If you have an interest in urban decay, you do not have to go to Detroit for that. Every city has a sample of that phenomina.

I would love to go to California,Detriot,New York, and anywhere in the south.I dont know much about other places.
Modeling can be difficult as far as being competitive.
Nannies are needed in any affluent area where there are families.
Detroit? I'd look at Chicago instead. Look at the NYC suburbs.
In the south - Houston, New Orleans, Tampa, and Atlanta metro are some suggestions.

Do you need previous experience to be a nanny/Au pair in America ?.

Also, is it difficult to get a visa ?

There are many au pair opportunities in Chicago... I knew several people doing this from Europe and South America.
