Coming from the Oregon/Washington Forums I think it is real fun sometimes to just surf the other states forums just to see what is happening throughout the nation

This site I think is awesome for that reason.

Also if you are a regular contributor to your state forum does it seem like you know all the regulars like friends almost?

if I am traveling to that area for work, I'll take a look. Otherwise, no.

Default Yep

I'm hardly on the Texas forum, I'm everywhere else and the forums with different topics.

I once lived in Mississippi and I may add, I loved it, so I visit the Mississippi site often and it gets a lot of out of state visitors, most of them are very critical of Mississippi. I guess they just don't have enough to do.

I check out other state and city forums now and then. Usually neighboring states, sometimes wherever tickles my fancy. The neighbors are usually like an alternate universe version of where I live. Forums far away can be more exotic.

Sometimes, if I'm just curious, but maybe I'm not the best person to answer since I don't even spend too much time in the forum of one of the cities I frequent and I don't spend any time in the other city's.

Yes. I check out the forums of places where I used to live (NYC, CT) and places where I have friends (Minneapolis, San Francisco, LA). It's fun to learn how places I used to know well have changed and more about places I visit.

Sometimes I check out the forums of the more obscure states (no offense) like Nebraska, South Dakota, or Alaska. Maybe because I fantasize about just heading out there someday. Like I'll check Louisiana if I have the urge to travel there. Otherwise, I stick around the native lands, MA, RI, & CA.

Every now and then I chime in on the neighboring states of Arizona or Colorado threads to see whats up. When I moved to the Southwest it was a tossup between New Mexio and Arizona and I visit Arizona frequently and every now and then think about living there. And occasionally I'll see what's going on in Massachusetts and Washington since I've lived in both of those states too. I like checking out the photo threads a lot in other states.

I stopped visiting the Texas board because every time I go in there with an honest, less popular opinion, everyone has to attack me like I just committed a murder. Usually they use some BS like "well you're from California so of course you'd think that". I go to Austin about once a month, it's my 2nd home really.
