I've always wondered why Interstate 45 didn't extend further north of Downtown Dallas along US-75 and the Indian Nation Turnpike to connect it directly to Tulsa.

But your post said, it would go through Oklahoma City to Kansas City, that is the exact path 35 takes now between Dallas and OKC. Unless you just want to extend 45 up US 75, but then it wouldn't go through OKC

My post said it would go through Oklahoma, not Oklahoma City.

Interstates that are needed:

- Extend I-27 north of Amarillo via US 287 up to Boise City, OK.
- Connect w/ US 385 north to Lamar, CO. Use US 385 to Julesburg, CO.
- Make new north extension to I-80 into Nebraska.
- I-27 connects w/ west I-80 then goes north around Sidney via US 385.
- North I-27 via US 385 to Bridgeport, NE.
- North I-27 via US 385 to Oelrichs, SD and connects to US 18.
- North I-27 via meets with CR-79 to Rapid City and connects to I-90.

Also need an interstate system that runs from Denver to Oklahoma City (I-34).

That could work alongside my southern extension of Interstate 27.

While Interstates 12 and 14 are taken, there could be a three digit Interstate that connects Houston and Austin directly.

I-26 between the I-81 interstate interchange and its termination in Kingsport, TN is essentially a local road.

Maybe it could be a three digit, make it I-410?

3) An interstate highway between DFW and Denver
4) An interstate highway between St. Louis and Twin Cities
5) An interstate highway between Atlanta and Memphis via Huntsville
6) An interstate highway between Houston and Austin with the option of it continuing to due west to meet up with I-10.
7) an extension of Florida's Turnpike northwest towards Tallahassee to create a more direct between the panhandle and the rest of Florida
Note: Many of those freeways are gradually being updated by state DOTs that may make the designation or totally new construction of interstate highways unnecessary.
There is already a interstate from Memphis to Atlanta via Birmingham.

Although there were plans for an interstate to run between those three cities (corridor v). But I think the DOT's opted to just four lane US 72.

I-410 is taken. Its the loop around San Antonio I believe.

I'm kind of fuzzy on the rules but I think 3-digit interstates that start with even numbers are loops right? So maybe this Houston to Austin road could be I-110 or something like that.

Its honestly crazy to me there's no interstate between Houston and Austin... both 71 and 290 are a royal PITA sometimes.
