Little Rock is more like ATLANTA or more like DALLAS?

It seems like it has more Southern characteristics, yet, it isn't all that far from Dallas compared to say Atlanta. What would you say LITTLE ROCK is more like?

Dallas. To me, Arkansas is in the same neighborhood as Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. It's not that "southeastern" like Georgia or the Carolinas. It's still southern, of course. However, it's a different kind of southern.

You can add Louisiana, western Tennessee and Mississippi to that list. I'm not sure about Missouri outside of the Bootheel.

I'd say Little Rock looks more like Atlanta but acts more like Dallas.

Louisiana and Mississippi are solidly Deep South, but I guess you could add them to the list if you wanted to. This is basically "the other side of the South" to me, being from North Carolina. The Mississippi River has to be the dividing line.

Little Rock has no NFL team.
Little Rock has no MLB team.
Little Rock has no NBA team.
Little Rock has no light rail system.

Dallas is 319 miles from Little Rock. Memphis is 137 miles from Little Rock. I'm from Little Rock and I don't know why this thread was even made.

What I mean is that these states are typically called the South Central states, and at one time were all considered "The West". Memphis and Jackson are east of the Mississippi but, in my observation, are just as tied to Houston and Dallas as they are Atlanta.

Topography wise, Little Rock feels more like a far out Atlanta suburb to me. Nothing like Dallas whatsoever...

Not a real light rail system that goes from downtown to counties miles out. Lemme guess. You think Little Rock is like Dallas?
