I feel like the Chicago nasal sound goes East to South Bend but after that when you enter Goshen and those areas they sound more "neutral" and not distinctive at all. Whereas I feel like the Lower Peninsula is very nasal/Northern and the UP is so Northern they're practically in Canada. There is a stark difference between the LP and UP. In the LP they "wawk da dawg" and in the UP they "wahk da dahg" (walk the dog). In the Mitten they "goh aootsoid" and in the UP they "gaww oatsoid" (go outside).

There is absolutely nothing special about this guy's "accent". It feels like this was a trick to get people to watch this video. Is this you??

Can't really place it, but it's definitely not a New England or New York accent.

*By Midland I mean the dialect families spanning from the Mid-Atlantic (Pennsylvania, NJ, Delaware, Northern Maryland), going west to Central Ohio, most of Indiana and Illinois, and the lower Midwest and parts of New Mexico.

Also to clear up, I am going with the linguist definiton of "Northern" meaning New England, all of New York, the Great Lakes area, and the Upper Midwest. Some Census designated Northern cities like Philly, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Kansas City, and Omaha are not included because they are in the transitional Midland dialect zone where language is neither Northern or Southern
I barely noticed an accent. He sounds like someone who's lived on the West Coast since he was a kid but he came from somewhere in the South; there's a hint of a southern accent in there. The vowels. He's a southerner who's adapted well to the West Coast.

"Midwestern Jabroney", which is a modification of "East Coast Guido", both of which are sub-dialects of the "Great American Meathead"

That's the best answer I've seen yet. You explained it a lot better than I did.

Well done.

Looking at his Bio, it says he grew up in Illinois, and now lives in Florida.
So I win! its Midwestern Jabroney!
