Kidding aside, if people could vote for their own state, then North Floridians would probably say Florida is their most popular place to visit! Florida probably has a huge instate tourist industry. For instance, Miami, the Orlando parks, the Gulf Coast, the Keys - Florida has it all.

But you cannot say your home state, so a nearby state is not a bad answer at all.
I don't know, maybe people in Jax would find Savannah interesting to spend a weekend in, especially since it's so close. But that's about it I guess. But I do know a lot of Floridians who look to re-locate look to Atlanta first. It tends to be this path Miami -> Orlando -> Atlanta (or Charlotte).

Now I lived in Atlanta for 2 months, it's not a bad city, just kind of a sterile city. Not really a tourist city, because there is nothing to see really. To live your life there otoh, wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. But not my cup of sweet tea either.

Maybe look at this way then. There are probably a number of states that are further away from Florida that Floridians like to visit; North Carolina (especially the mountains), Virginia, New York, California, Nevada, Texas, Louisiana, Hawaii, Alaska and maybe Tennessee? But the votes for these most distant states are divided.

So there are enough people Florida voting (goggling) for their neighboring state of Georgia. And Georgia does have some interesting areas in her own right. Besides Atlanta and Savannah, I not sure if the Georgia mountains are a tourist area but I would not be surprised that they attract some Floridians trying to escape the heat. Other parts of Georgia might have attractions that I do not know about. Georgia is one of the largest Eastern states.

In reality, Georgia is not a state that's exciting to visit.
Ive lived all over the world and travel extensively so Im hardly "limited" but YOU are.

You see ONLY Miami. You live in Atlanta for 2 months and said there is nothing to see.Very ignorant.
As much as I dont care for Miami, not once have I said such a foolish thing.Even if many of the things are not my cup of tea I still have common sense enough to see why some would like it and I said I enjoy it even though the night scene and beach don't interest me.You are just being obtuse

So we are insulting now?Dont be mad because you look like a fool saying things that you denied and then got burned when I posted EXACTLY what you saiid.
You have the audacity to call someone not smart?Says you?haha.

Of course Georgia'S not exciting to someone as shallow as you. Tha'ts why you live in Miami because you need visual stimulation rather than intellectual.LOTS OF PRETTY COLORS AND SOUNDS!!!LOL

This from a person that lives on Miami. You are so ignorant if you think living in a metro for 2 months gives you some credibility,

Haha, I love how you've conveniently lived in every city you discuss (which is pretty much all of them), or you have a family member you used to visit who'd lived there. Your sister has lived a lot of places, hmmm?

Nevada, by far.

For the NorCal'ers, it would be Tahoe (though I think most stay on the CA side).
For the SoCal'ers, it would be Vegas.

We barely consider Nevada an "out-of-state" destination as it is.

After that, it gets a bit more muddled.
