Let's see, I wouldn't want to live in:

California (too expensive and crowded)
Florida (heat, humidity and illegal immigration)
Most of the deep south (can't stand that kind of weather)
Most of the southwest (weather)
Most of the northeast (too crowded)

Best areas for me

Great Plains
Rocky Mountains
Midwest

If I couldn't stay where I'm AT? I definitely wouldn't want to live in a city. I prefer low populations.

I think I could only live in New England, Northern California, NYC ( and upstate) and Chicago in the US.

I love the Deep South, as it is so beautiful and there is so much history there to visit but as an atheist, and someone who is liberal it might not agree with me !

The mid_west I also love but as someone who loves cultural activities I think I would get really bored really quickly.

No offence to anyone.

Worst places for me to live though would be :
Las Vegas ( my idea of hell on earth!)
LA
Reno
San Diego
Houston
Galveston
Detroit

Best places :
Coastal Maine
Massachusetts
Vermont
And Monterey/Carmel
San Francisco

Actually, I would never want to live in NYC. I love it and visit it often both for work and play but I am a dog guy and need a backyard or at least a courtyard for them. It is just to crowded and expensive for me.

Umm....Chicago dips FAR below 40F in the winter and I must say that they get a little bit more then a little bit of snow. Ever been there in the dead of winter?

The only New Englanders who think that the world revolves around Boston are those that live in Boston and last I checked most New Englanders that do not live in Boston wish that Boston was located somewhere else.

Everything in red is where I would NOT want to live in, everything in yellow is where I would be OK living in, and everything in blue is where I would love to live in.

I got my depression when I was in Wichita. That was my heart broken place. Boring food and people. I told my wife we would never go back there to live.
