Sorry, I misidentified this retail mall. It is Algonquin Commons, (not Town Center). It has been years since I've been back there. Here is the website:
OK. I looked at the web site. How is that not a strip mall? What's the difference between that and a strip mall?
I think the main differences are the size and high-end stores. Algonquin Commons is marketed as a "lifestyle center". If you notice on their website, it isn't a mall on a strip of land facing the street, it is several building clusters mixed with restaurants.
Another one for NYC- the new Hudson Yards mall will have over one million square feet of space in seven floors, anchored by Neiman Marcus. That will be the first Manhattan mall with one million square feet+ retail.

Wow. That should be quite a jump from the current largest mall which is East River Plaza I believe? That's about half the size.

Yeah, East River Plaza is probably the biggest in Manhattan at this very second. But the old WTC mall was bigger, and the new WTC mall is opening within weeks, so that should be the largest mall until Hudson Yards opens.
And I guess you could combine the new WTC Mall with Brookfield Place and Fulton Center, as they're all enclosed retail centers connected by underground concourses. But those three centers combined still won't reach one million square feet. Hudson Yards will be king, at least for Manhattan.
I'll start with my city, Toronto. According to this link, there are 7 enclosed malls in the Greater Toronto Area with over 1 million square feet of gross leaseable area:
I could have sworn it used to list 8 such malls, but maybe I was wrong.
The largest enclosed mall in the GTA is Square One, with 1.8 million square feet according to the link. With the expansion under construction though, it will surpass 2 million square feet next year.
There is also at least 1 power centre with over 1 million square feet of retail area in the GTA - Heartland Town Centre in Mississauga has about 2 million square feet of retail! I'm guessing it's the largest power centre in North America.
Power center? Malls? Not getting that comparison, at all....lol.
