First let me explain my criteria. Freezing cold windy winters with lots of snow, Scorching hot and humid summers with frequent thunderstorms, short springs and falls, minimal nice 75 degree sunny days, on average substantially more cloudy days a year than sunny days. Without looking up weather data I'm just going to take a random guess and say Des Moines Iowa?????

This sounds like Detroit, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Green Bay or Milwaulkee. You described these Midwestern towns down to a tee.

Fascinating & original topic. Tie between San Diego & San Fran, to a hands down tee.

Orlando. 85-90+ degrees/humid/rarely breezy relentlessly from mid-April through mid-November...EIGHT months of summer.

I'd probably have to say Phoenix, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, and Florida. As the poster above me stated, eight months of heat and humidity. I just don't view cold winters as being as bad as hot summers.

^^Agree. I would rather have bad winters then hot sweaty summers. So Austin, Phoenix, Houston, Florida, etc.

This thread is about the worst weather climates, not the best.

How did you guess?

Really, Oklahoma City has the worst and it isn't even close.
