I never made such a claim, and that is not the comment you made that I responded to. You said the stats for Indy would be skewed by virtue of having merged with the county, and I simply highlighted correctly that this is not true in this context.
Center Township contains most of the old city limits, and has a racial demographic that aligns with Marion County at large. If you add the balance of the old city limits to Center Township, I don't think much would change.
Let me ask you this. If Marion County as a whole is 52/27, and Center Township is 50/32, where do anticipate the data to skew if we're adding from such a similar data set?
My apologies, as you simply were noting the exclusion of Indianapolis and Louisville from the list in the link, and not implying anything other than that statement of fact.
I won’t further derail this thread, but I have visited Indy several times and like it quite a bit. There seems to be a growing international population fueling some growth and enhancing its diversity.
Do you believe the present relative homogeneity between the Center Township and the whole of Marion County at 50% white throughout is signaling that the county will be majority minority before long? Are there perhaps any other major population/ demographic trends or dynamics at play that folks may not be aware of?
NYC, LA, Chicago, San Francisco, Oakland, Philadelphia, DC, Milwaukee, Buffalo, and Rochester aren't liberal?
They are. But they're not predominantly white. At least, not in the sense of being at least 50.1 percent white. I do believe that white people are a plurality in some of them, but not a majority.

The post (AFAICT) was implying that it's tautological for liberal cities to be majority-white.
Almost all cities could be described as liberal.
Those with solid white majorities can often be the most ultra-liberal.
They’re more ivory tower than blue dog.
