Wow!! It's nice to see there are people who have moved more that me!! I usually get teased incessantly for it and as I have long tried to explain patiently I don't hold a candle to many folks!!

My list (in alphabetical order):

Ann Arbor, MI
Berkeley, CA
Boston, MA
Bryn Mawr, PA
Castro Valley, CA
Haverford, PA
Houston, TX
Jensen Beach, FL
Reading, England
San Francisco, CA
Somerville, MA

And depending on how you define "living" somewhere I spent nearly 3 months living with a family and volunteering in Managua, Nicaragua.

The one thing I've learned is that while there may be some places that are better than others for me, there is not a single place I have lived that I don't miss SOMETHING about it.

I've lived in 15 cities. Most of them in NC.

Wilmington, NC
Southport, NC (twice; want to live there again)
Boiling Spring Lakes, NC
Cumberland, NC
Tulsa, OK
Garner, NC
Raleigh, NC
Dale City, VA
Medina, OH
Conroe, TX
Greensboro, NC (twice; I'm on my second time)
Pleasant Garden, NC (twice)
Hope Mills, NC
Randleman, NC
La Grange, NC

My dad worked for the airlines as a mechanic and then had higher positions. We almost moved to Australia and Hawaii when I was a teenager, but we didn't want to live that far from home (NC). His work eventually took him to the Philippines for a year or two.

13 different cities and small towns, but there are a few of them I have lived in more than once. Where I am now I have moved away from and back to several times (5 different times in 45 years, twice by my choice the other 3 by my parents choice when I was a kid.)

I have lived in 17 different houses and a couple of them more than once. 1 house 3 times (as a kid), 3 houses twice, so I guess that equals out to 21 moves over the course of my life. The place I am in now, I plan on staying in until I kick the bucket of old age. Oh yeah, not a military family either. Just a bit of Gypsy soul I think. That isn't counting going away for College either.
