Everything. You're disturbed by a tree growing through concrete yet you have a chair and desk made from a dead tree. What is more disturbing?

The tree was already dead when I made my desk. I didn't go and chop it down. I'm sure a tree would rather be dead than sit in the concrete in some polluted city.

To be honest I've had nightmares about this especially when I sleep in the cellar. Often times I dream that a hord of giant Elms suddenly spring out of the cellar floor and drop their leaves and branches all over me while I am trying to sleep. :-)

You can't be serious with what you're saying. I don't believe it.

Don't worry, I've talked to some urban tree experts and they tell me that all these trees get Prozac in their fertilizer regularly, and a tree psychiatrist comes by once a month and talks to them.

I don't know. Let's weigh the options here. Alive and sitting in concrete? Or dead and having Dariusz's ass sitting on it all day? Hmm...

I don't sit on my desk ever really and I work 40+ hours a week. I leave for work shortly

Well, Trees do need Carbon Dioxide to survive, and there is soil and water under the concrete so I'm sure they feel great, plus they have minimal root damage.
