Portland Oregon... NOT TRANSGENDER FRIENDLY!!!! Portland is a heterosexual town. It's all about "standards" here. They hold some classes to a higher standard, and let other classes, sink below standards.
The police, are the biggest problem.
I've lived in Portland for about 2 yrs. I have been attacked SEVEN TIMES!! THR LAST TIME, SOME BLACK TRANSPHOBIA GENDER PREDATOR ATTACKED ME AT 8AM, ON A MONDAY MORNING.
COPS HAVE NEVER FOUND ONE OF MY ATTACKERS!!! The cops want transgendered people, to leave Portland. Why??? Because transgenders are career killers, to the typical gov't Union employee.
The gov't unions, HATE PROGRESS AND CHANGE. THEY WANT THE USA TO STAY FOREVER, IN 1978!!
This is a difficult question to answer because the best cities for the L'S and G's are not necessarily the best for the T's (or the B's, in my case, as I've noticed).
I disagree, I don't know what part of salt lake you were in, but the town is very excepting of transgender.i worked in a warehouse and I am transgender and was treated kindly and addressed in my preferred gender,they are also the 7th largest gay community in the us.probably cause of all the young people there.
