I felt inspired to look it up. My English professor was a woman of Persian and Mexican descent married to an African-American male.

One of my English professors, a fantastic human being and mentor, is Iranian and French, but she never really referred to herself as Persian. Again, thanks!

Two famous African American/Iranian sportsmen are the Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Touraj (TJ) Houshmandzadeh and poker star David Williams.

Ironic, in the very state where a justice of the peace refused to marry an interracial couple. I am aware of this mix because my mother is from Louisiana and she is mixed with African, French Creole, Irish, and Native American. She has light skin as well.

It's so common to meet people of different ethnic mixes in Hawaii., I went to college with a girl who was half Samoan and half Norwegian. I know a cute little girl who is half Indian (India) and half Japanese. I've met kids who are Black/Sri Lankan; Black/Japanese; Samoan/German.. I could go on.

My own husband is a quarter Portuguese, a quarter Japanese, a quarter Filipino, with a bit of Hawaiian, Chinese, and Spanish thrown in.
