I'm curious as to where do you prefer to be. While I love visiting major cities, I find as I get older I prefer small towns, especially those near coastal areas. I said this to someone and they told me I was "hiding" and need to be in the "real world" and to her the real world met major cities.

So...where are you on the continuum? Small town? Big cities? or something else altogether?

I think it'd be cool to live in a small town just outside of a big city -- the best of both worlds.

I prefer small towns, you've never lived til you visited one. I love how peaceful it all is.

I really think it depends on the person. If you are a young guy looking for action and a fast paced vibe, take on the big city. If you're the kind of guy that doesn't like being overwhelmed and likes to sort things out on a manageable scale without the crime, pollution, and vastness of a large city, head to the small town.

Personally, I love the big city.

I've visited many but have always been unsure how I'd like to live in one. I would definitely move to a small town though.

Big cities in the US. I like smaller cities in Brazil and the Mediterranean.

I like the small cities, and I live in one. I have lived in a bigger city situation once but it's not for me.

I would have to go with a small town. It's just the best place to live and raise kids, IMO. I love country living and that is where my heart is.

Though living in a big city is full of nightlife, clubs, bars, shopping, restaurants, etc. I just could'nt imagine living there., though visiting a major big city can nice as well.

I think it is nice to get away every once in a while, but I couldn't be without the amenities of a major city. I like to be close to events, concerts, dining, a good airport, etc. I think after the novelty wears off, smaller towns are very dull.

I personally like small towns, but I'm sure it's because that's all I've ever known. I'd like to visit some big cities, especially NYC....I just don't think I'd make it living there.
