The biological purpose of sex is to produce offspring. Men therefore are most attracted to woman in prime child bearing age years, which ranges from late teens to late 20s or early 30s. In our modern society we understand that a 17 year old woman is not mentally ready to handle being a parent.Men are hard wired to be attracted to women that are at puberty but we are told to turn off that instinct for the betterment of society, and rightly so.
I tend to assume that's correct based off my own instincts. I know some people genuinely have attractions to no one but adults though. What I don't like though is the idea of people fearing their own attractions, if those attractions are actually widely shared. I don't know how common some degree, however small, of attraction to post-pubescent children is. It's not something most people would talk about willingly. I like our culture of not talking about such things. It's like bragging about how much you pooped. It's embarrassing, and nobody wants to hear about it generally. I'd just like to be sure that nobody's afraid of their own attractions.
I don't even know why I'd want a pedophile, who hasn't harmed anyone, to be afraid of their own attractions. That doesn't seem like it would be a healthy mentality for controlling those attractions. I don't care what a pedophile thinks about, so long as they're not acting on those thoughts.
Of course, the nice thing about our culture's hostility towards physical attraction towards children is that it makes it absolutely clear that we have deep disdain for everyone who acts on those impulses...which is good. That way nobody can make the excuse that they didn't know about it. It might even act as useful negative feedback, which discourages acting on unfortunate impulses.
I'd still like people who've harmed no one to not fear their own attractions though. That seems pointless. If they fear society's retribution for acting on those unfortunate attractions...that's fine. Maybe it's even a good thing...but that's different from people fearing their own emotions.
Or...maybe this isn't even an issue for most people.
All men are not Pedophiles. The vast majority of dudes in there 30's or older will not be attracted to a pre-pubescent looking girl. Furthermore, the majority of men are not attracted to girls in their early teen years. Now, when we start approaching those around the age of 16 and 17, I think it's hard to say vast majority, much less majority are in no way attracted to them. Namely, as girls begin to develop into women, it becomes natural for men to become attracted to them. Still, I feel like applying a blanket statement that all men would be attracted to a 16/17 year old wrong. On the other hand, if someone purposefully filmed/ wtv 16/17 in a sexualized way, woul the majority of men be turned off?
Personally, I am not attracted to young women...mostly because I like women with meat who have definitely lost the "baby fat" look girl retain, which women lose. I also think there is a sort of distinct alteration in face between 16-21...I tend to go for women who are at least 23 or 24...

That makes absolute sense. Teens usually still have that baby-like skin and fat deposits and their bodies will change into their twenties to full adult development. A lot of teens do not really have much of a waist or hips, that comes later. Hence they make good clothing models. The early twenties is probably ideal biologically for women's attractiveness. Even if a teen girl looks developed, she really isn't fully cooked yet.
It sounds more like a lot of older guys fantasizing about naïve "virginal" (fantasy after all) girls rather than a fully matured young woman in prime breeding years - mid twenties.
I don't find the story believable. Few young guys would be rude enough to accuse a mom of being jealous. And yes, moms to get protective of their teen girls. To project jealousy onto them is ridiculous. Though most moms don't trail after their daughters, interfering in conversations to tell every guy they talk to that the girls are 16.

As societies became more affluent and lives became longer due to medical advances then childhood lasted longer and reproduction/early sex became pushed to later teens not early adolescence.
In general, poor societies marry their daughters off early, sometimes to wealthy older men. We in the West think they are savages because of the age of the girls being married and having babies when they are barely out of childhood. But early marriages are legal with parental consent in the US. It's just a question of degrees who is uncivilized.

One example is the practice of child brides in Yemen which is absolute savagery I have nothing but disdain for these men some aspects of certain cultures are just despicable.
The average man hater won't believe this but, many men are actually repulsed by anybody UNDER 25, 30, 40+. Hope that blows up your ignorant stereotypes.
Pedophiles are people that take advantage of the young because of youths vulnerabilities; mainly innocence, and naivety natural to those with little life experience. They also use societies "respect your elders" value against them..
They take sexual advantage of our young. It creates problems for the youth that must overcome being taken advantage of...also if that young person does not have strong mentorship, they could have their own support system turn against them.
So to me a pedophile is a sociopath, nothing more. A sociopath that targets children because of their vulnerability, for the pursuit of sex.
By definition a sociopath can be either male or female. Not all people are sociopaths, not all men are pedophiles.
No. But most pedophiles are men. And I don't consider being attracted to young teens being a pedophile.
How young are you talking about? 13? 14?
