I am so tired of people telling us liberals how we think. I know how I think, and it ain't the way the other poster puts it at all.
It's funny isn't it? They have no problem labeling all Liberals together in one collective group or hive mind but god forbid if you label all Conservatives as bigoted, racists hicks.
The main goal of liberals to achieve diversity is getting black males with white females(who, btw, have a lot of the same traits and wants, but not in a positive way) and moving black families into white neighborhoods (whether they can afford to live there or not).
Let me guess, you don't want Black men to date/marry White women.
Whenever I hear someone bash diversity, I often think "Let me guess, you don't want Blacks, Hispanics, and Asians being here". I can't say personally, that ethnic diversity has caused any problems for me.

Homogeneous societies are as prone to unrest than diverse ones.
What sets people apart is money, economic conditions, people will kill you if you have a bicicle and they have not, not because you are bluish in the cormers.
The division in the US is artificial and purely economical, a war of poors against poors while middle class and rich call them barbaric, etc.
A class struggle, poor medievals against poor workers.
Haiti is a good example of this. It is very homogeneous, but there has always been unrest there since the 1800s. Yemen isn't that diverse either. Unrest currently going on.
I look at diversity like this. It is what it is. To me, diversity has always meant inclusiveness. I never saw it as a problem. Some of the nicest people in my life have been a different ethnicity from me. There have been people different from me who would give the shirt off their back. I've met people who were the same ethnicity as me who made me into a crime victim. Whenever I hear "diversity will be the end of us" I look at said persons as crazy.
